Trailer Door Crushers

The yellow square in the lower right-hand corner. Is a piece of very thick angle iron placed close to the electric dock plate. These replace the old grunt and pull heavy manual dock plates. The electric ones are also considerably more expensive to maintain especially from a sloppy driver.

When a driver backs into the dock and accidently hits the dock plate hard enough it will put it out of commission. Most warehouses can’t afford to have those messed up, so these heavy angle iron pieces tear up the trailer doors and teach a driver to be very careful when they are backing.
